YouthCARE  Chaplain

Picture
Hi, I’m Linn, a YouthCARE chaplain who has been at Coolbellup Community School since Term 2, 2019 and I have found it a privilege to be working in such a community-minded school.

My primary role as a chaplain is to offer support across the whole school community.  Engaging with students, families and staff to help support their social, emotional, and spiritual wellbeing.  My focus is on building relationships among the community.  To be available to help individuals in times of need, offering pastoral care and a community link for referrals to other services that are required.  While respecting different values and belief systems, my emphasis as a chaplaincy is to show compassion to those who are experiencing grief, loss, family breakdowns, peer issues and other life challenges.

Some of the programs I am involved in are the Breakfast Club and a lunchtime Lego Club, as well as individual one-on-one mentoring with students.

I am available Monday and Wednesday from 8.15 am-3.15 pm and can be contacted through the school on (08) 9487 9500 or via email Linn.wight-pickin@youthcare.org.au.
