Library
Coolbellup Community School's Library is staffed on Tuesday and Thursday each week. Mrs Anna Dugandzic is our Community School Librarian. Students attend the library for 30 minutes once a week with their classroom teacher to conduct returns and borrows. Students are allowed to borrow up to two items (Junior Primary) or three items (Middle & Senior Primary) per week once they have returned all their books on loan from the week before. All students are encouraged to bring a labelled bag to the library to keep their books in.
Library News - Article for SCIS Connections Magazine
Our Community School Librarian, Mrs Anna Dugandzic was recently featured in the National Librarians' SCIS Connections Magazine Issue 129 for Term 2, 2024.
She was asked to participate in a National statistic gathering exercise on the lending of Australian books by Australian authors in our school's library.
In our school library, together with our class teachers we always promote Australian authors of both factual and fictional books.
In fact, annually with the big buildup to Children's Book Week our students are given the chance to vote for their favourite nominated book.
