                                                     Harmony Day 2023

We had our first fundraiser for our Bali sister school, SD2 Liligundi last Tuesday. This fundraiser coincided with Harmony Day, celebrated each year on 21 March. It was wonderful to see so many students in their cultural outfits and in the colour orange, celebrating the unique myriad that is multicultural Australia.

With our Harmony Day dress up and raffle ticket sales, we have successfully raised $317.00 for SD2 Liligundi. Jax from LA11, the first winner of our Raffle Draw selected the Chocolate themed prize pack, followed by Kobe from LA9 who chose the Scented prize pack. Kodie of LA14, the final lucky student had the Art prize pack to enjoy and get creative with!

Adopt a School is the not for profit organisation through which we are partnered up with SD2. The school will be using these funds to continue with an after-school Homework Club to assist students with their homework and assignments. They will also be investing in textbooks and work books as well as participating in a few Art and Poetry writing and recital competitions. The funds that we have raised will go a long way in assisting our friends at SD2, especially after the Covid-19 pandemic. Our next and final charitable collection for 2023 will take place in late Term 2 or in Term 3.

Thank you for your continued support of our Languages Program and our sister school.

Selamat Hari Harmoni (Happy Harmony Day!)

                                                     Sculptures by the Sea Cottesloe

LA14 went to Sculptures by the Sea. We saw so many innovative and creative pieces of artwork, We were all so excited to be making our own mini sculptures in Term 2. Watch this space for our "Mini Masterpieces" in Term 2.
