Music

Music is great fun!

Through guided and structured learning from early primary to upper primary, Coolbellup Community School students will learn the fundamental skills and knowledge of music, as well as learning the basic skills to play a number of instruments.  For those students who show a particular interest in music, they will have the opportunity to focus on further developing their skills in an instrument as they grow older.

Instruments that our students will gain enjoyment of and experience with throughout their years at Coolbellup Community School include the ukulele, guitar, recorder, percussion instruments and the harmonica.

One of the most glorious instruments is the human voice.  Coolbellup Community School has a wonderful choir that rehearses weekly and attends community functions and performances.

So come along to our regular assemblies, sit back and enjoy the music, and be proud of our fantastic young musicians.

Brian and Stephen from The Lions Club of Jandakot Lakes presented our Music Specialist, Ms Walsh, with a cheque for $500 towards purchasing a school harp for Ruby and Matilda. The harp is currently being made in Victoria.   We are truly grateful to The Lions Club of Jandakot Lakes for their on-going support for our school.
