Principal's Message

Acknowledgement of Country
We would like to acknowledge the traditional owners of the land on which we meet today, the Whadjuk people of the Noongar Nation of Australia, and pay our respects to the elders of the past, present and emerging.

Kaya and welcome to Coolbellup Community School, a proud and inclusive learning community where every child is valued and supported to achieve their best.

As the newly appointed principal, I am excited to be leading our school through a time of renewal and growth. My focus is on building strong community connections, ensuring children feel safe, supported, and inspired to learn, and ensuring Cooby School is the first choice for local families.

Our school shares the site with the Coolbellup Learning Centre, and together we form a united and compassionate community that celebrates diversity and promotes inclusion. Our partnership guarantees the welcome and provision of opportunities for every child, irrespective of their ability or background, to engage, learn, and succeed.

At the heart of our approach are our ROAR values of Respect, Ownership, Achievement and Resilience, shaping our behaviour and culture. Just as important are the notions of inclusivity and empathy, underpinning how we care for one another.

Our dedicated staff provide high-quality and engaging teaching and learning programs that nurture curiosity, confidence and a love of learning. We are committed to helping every student grow academically, socially and emotionally in a safe and supportive environment.

I invite you to explore our website to discover more about our programs and community and encourage you to contact our school to organise a visit to experience the strong sense of belonging and care that makes Coolbellup Community School such a special place to learn.

Warmest regards,
Craig Beard
Principal
