The national language and culture of Indonesia, one of our closest neighbours, is the primary language taught through Coolbellup Community School's language program.
In a special language learning area, a qualified teacher teaches Indonesian. The program upholds our conviction that learning a language promotes empathy, deference, and a sense of connectedness to the world outside of our immediate neighbourhood.
Our Indonesian program seeks to guarantee that our students:
Effectively communicate through speaking, listening, reading, and writing.
Gain knowledge of Indonesian language and culture while cultivating cross-cultural skills.
Learn to appreciate the variety and distinctions among cultures worldwide.
Digital tools, cooperative learning, and explicit teaching methods are used to teach Bahasa Indonesian. To engage students, boost their confidence, and promote meaningful interactions, we employ student-centered activities.
Our school takes a whole-school approach to teaching language. To ensure that the Indonesian language and culture are authentically incorporated throughout the curriculum, the Indonesian specialist collaborates with both classroom teachers and specialised educators.
Learning Indonesian at Coolbellup Community School prepares pupils to be self-assured global citizens equipped with the knowledge, empathy, and language required to thrive in the current Asian generation.
